Jeanie Cooper-Brown is a Melbourne-based artist, illustrator, and former art teacher with a lifelong passion for storytelling through colour, line, and imagination. She trained at Melbourne Teachers College and Prahran College, later working across schools, artist residencies, and her own studio practice. Jeanie currently creates from her studio at Le Studio, Mordialloc, following years working from the St Kilda Bowling Club Studios and a private space in Cheltenham.

Art Practice
Jeanie works predominantly in acrylic on canvas and ink on paper. She also experiments with oil pastels, markers, and collage to create dynamic textures and layers. Her paintings are rich in colour, movement, and imagination — often blending the real and the fantastical.

Whether it’s a vibrant abstract landscape, a quirky animal character, or an invented place, her work invites viewers into playful, narrative-rich worlds. Her illustrations capture whimsy and wonder, inspired by storytelling, the natural world, and everyday moments.
